Pressing Instructions
TRANSFERRING THE IMAGE- CRICUT EASY PRESS OR HAND IRON
- Please Don't
- Refer to bullet point #1
TRANSFERRING THE IMAGE- PNEUMATIC HEAT PRESS (OR HIGH PRESSURE ELECTRIC AUTO PRESS)
- Preheat press to 300-310F and set the pressure to 100-120 (or the highest pressure you can with your clamshell. If unable to achieve the recommended pressure settings, a lower pressure range of 75-95psi can be used for transferring. Be aware this may result in longer press times. Please test a sample prior to moving forward with full production at lower pressure settings.
- Press fabric for 2-3 seconds to release moisture and remove wrinkles
- Place printed image face down on the garment (the adhesive side should be on top of the garment surface)
- Press for the recommended time duration (remember to test as lower pressure = longer press times
- 100% Cotton - 3-5 Seconds
- Cotton Blends - 3-5 seconds
- 100% polyester - 1-3 seconds
.
We have tested with our clamshell press at high pressure and 3 seconds and it has worked, but each clamshell heatpress is different and may not have the same pressure or heat stability.
This is Hot Peel Film. Remove the backing film from your transfer using a smooth, even motion. For best results, post-press using a 100% cotton burlap textured piece of cloth for 1-2 seconds after removal of film.
TRANSFERRING THE IMAGE: MANUAL HEAT PRESS - Faster press times may be achievable. Make sure to test as each machine is different. We are able to achieve 3 second press and peel on our clamshell press with highest pressure settings.
- Preheat press to 300-310 and se the pressure to maximum pressure setting. For best transfer results, use recommended temperature and pressure settings.
- Press fabric for 2-3 seconds to release moisture and remove wrinkles
- Place printed image face down on the garment (the adhesive side should be on top of the garment surface)
- Press for 8-12 seconds
- Peel HOT: Remove the backing film from your transfer using a smooth, even motion
- For best results, post press using a parchment paper for 3 seconds.
WASHING INSTRUCTIONS
- Turn the garment inside out
- Wash and dry separately from other clothes
- Wash in COLD water at delicate clothes setting and do not soak
- Use a mild/ color safe detergent for best results
- Do not user bleach or bleach alternative detergents
NOTES
- Excessive stretching other than normal wear and tear may damage the transfers.
- When transferring several images to the same fabrics, be sure to cover all applications to ensure none of the transfers are damaged from direct exposure to heat.
- Trasnfer results may vary due to fabric variations, fabric pre-treatment and inconsistent heat/ pressure application.
- Depending on the fabric type and pressure settings for ternasferring, some residual ink could be observed on the backing film upon peeling. This is normal and should not cause alarm.
- All Technical information and recommendations are based on tests we have conducted. Users should conduct their own tests before proceeding.
- Lower pressure settings may require longer pressing times at increased temperatures.
